SV	Hij was de heerlijkste van de dertig, maar tot die drie [eersten] kwam hij niet; en David stelde hem over zijn trawanten.
WLC	מִן־הַשְּׁלֹשִׁ֣ים נִכְבָּ֔ד וְאֶל־הַשְּׁלֹשָׁ֖ה לֹא־בָ֑א וַיְשִׂמֵ֥הוּ דָוִ֖ד אֶל־מִשְׁמַעְתֹּֽו׃ ס
Trans.	min-haššəlōšîm niḵəbāḏ wə’el-haššəlōšâ lō’-ḇā’ wayəśimēhû ḏāwiḏ ’el-mišəm^a‘ətwō:

AC	כג מן השלשים נכבד ואל השלשה לא בא וישמהו דוד {ר} אל משמעתו {ס}
ASV	He was more honorable than the thirty, but he attained not to the [first] three. And David set him over his guard.
BE	He was honoured over the rest of the thirty, but he was not equal to the first three. And David put him over the fighting men who kept him safe.
Darby	He was honoured above the thirty, but he did not attain to the [first] three. And David set him in his council.
